Reserve movements drive both the claims P&L and the credibility of your management accounts. We examine a sample of case files for support of current case estimates, and we test how bulk or IBNR-related postings enter the claims accounting records when those postings are produced by your applications.

A schedule of files with unsupported or stale estimates, notes on posting lags between the claims application and the ledger, and practical recommendations your reserve committee can take up at the next meeting.
